Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care:

We showcased how immunization can be a personal point of pride.

Over the last few years, there has been a lot of talk about immunization - in Canada and around the world. A small but increasingly vocal minority of anti-vaxxers took social media by storm and dominated the media conversation with largely unsubstantiated claims about the safety and trustworthiness of vaccinations, especially for young children. As a result, a substantial number of Ontario parents were uncertain of what to do. They delayed or opted out of vaccinations.

The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care needed to remind parents that even though certain diseases are gone, they can come back if herd immunity is jeopardized. We needed to show parents –on a personal, relatable level– why it is so important for each of us to protect all of us.
